baseball softball supplies asked to fill out w9 form?
Ok, I am a parent of my girls softball team. The school they go to will not let them use the concession building to raise funds for their team. It's just for the boys (baseball) I know title 9 violation. Well anyways I purchased my own drinks, snacks, hot dogs ,buns ect, ect... (with permission) I Saved all receipts for the money that it cost me to get the supplies. That is what was asked of me. School has all the money that was made and I was giving a w9 form to get reimbursed for the money that I put up front.
My question. Is this right? I will not get back my money that I put upfront unless I fill out this form. It's my money...I did not work for it or benifit from it.
The school has all the profits plus my money. How do I get back my money if i refused to fill in the w9. Can the school do this to me. I just want to be reimbursed but if i fill out this form will it be considered income?and will I have to worry that they will report it as such.
They need the form to file to explain where the money went. Fill it out or consider it a donation
