Does Nike make a good softball fastpitch bat?
I have been wanting to get a new softball bat. I saw the Nike Women's Aero Athena Composite Fastpitch Bat. It looks really nice but is it a reliable bat? Also where could I get this bat for less than $249.99?
I've never used a softball Nike bat, but I've used baseball and it was okay. I prefer Easton for softball. I'd try to find a good deal on a Easton Stealth, but they're usually around $300, but if you find a coupon or something, it might be a better deal.

The Role of Softball Bat in a Perfect Softball Hitting
When you have mastered the basics of softball hitting, you have the chance to control the game favoring your team to win. As a hitter, you have an essential role in your team. Do you know that famous hitters are once ordinary players like you? The goal of being known hitter motivates them to practice over and over again until they become expert in every aspect of hitting.
You can also do the same. In your own way, with your hard work and persistence, you can learn the art of softball hitting. You just need some patience and discipline in order for you to reach your goal. These attitudes will also develop a much greater way of softball playing.
A softball bat is made to hit the ball. The impact of the hit will depend upon the material, length and weight of your bat. Your weight and physical fitness will also have a great contribution.
The bats are the most powerful weapon in softball hitting. You should choose the bat which will suit you so that you can show your best play. As the days passed by, softball bats become more and more advance. Manufacturers make some innovations with the traditional bats making it more powerful weapon. Today softball bats are very helpful in improving the hitting skills of the hitter. There some considerations in choosing the right bat for you.
You should consider the length of the bat. Find a bat which will be long enough. It should come to your waist from its tip on the ground as you stand straight.
The weight of your bat will determine how powerful your hit is. You should choose the bat with a weight you can used to. You should make sure that you can swing the bat at ease making a perfect hit. It doesn’t matter whether the bat is heavy or light. What matters most is the quality of the play your bat will give you. You should not also think of the price. Expensive bats do not always mean that they are better than the cheap ones. You should control the bat so the worth of the bat will depend on your performance during the entire game.
The top part of the bat is called barrel. You should take into consideration the size of the barrel. A standard barrel of a softball bat is 2.3/4 inch in diameter. The choice of the size should give you comfort in playing of the softball game plan.
A taper of a bat is the diameter of its handle. Standard bats have taper of 31/32 inches. It can be smaller depending on the weight of the bat. Most players prefer this kind of bat because is easy to handle.
Grip refers to the covering on the handle of the bat. The handle of the bats may be covered with leather or synthetic covering. Some have rubber covering. Leather and synthetic covering can ensure a firm grip while rubber covering absorbs the shocks from the hit easily.
