Whats better aluminum or composite bats for softball?
i was wondering what is the diffrence between composite bats or regular alumium bats for fastpitch softball? which is better and which would you prefer? PLEASE ANSWER QUICKLY!
You're going to want composite. There's actually a big difference. Composite bats have a bigger sweet spot, this makes it easier to hit. Aluminum bats tend to hurt your hands more because they don't give as much as a composite bat. Good composite bats cost about $200-$300. I'd go with composite if I had the money. Even if you don't, I'd take a cheap composite bat over an aluminum one.

trying to find a fastpitch softball bat that is purple and fades into black. Need to know what kind it is.?
My stepdaughter is playing fastpitch softball and a teammate brought her bat to practice that is purple and eventually fades into black, I can not find it on the internet. can anyone help me find out the name of this bat. The parent of this child said it was 325$ if that helps.
I have played softball since i was 4 now im 21 and coach it-- paying that much for a bat is not unheard of but its not necessary. Personally I have found that DeMarini has some of the best bats and they only run around 200.00. Key to them is that it cant be too cold (under 55 degrees i beleive) but you can get a sleeve for it to keep it warm so you can use it in any weather. Some of the bats that I have seen with purple and black -- one is a Jennie Finch made by mizuno a dragon fly made by katana -- there is a DeMarini thats purple and black i think its the F2 model??
Actually, I think that it's better to hit to the third-base side. It's harder for the fielders to make the throw to first. Basically, I think what you are doing is fine.
To answer your question, you're swinging the bat too late. You need to prepare and swing faster. Your coach told you to "choke up" because it increases your bat speed.
So to solve this problem, work on swinging quicker. Taking practice swings with two bats or a heavier bat than you use should help you out because you'll naturally swing faster when using a lighter bat.
