Can i mix one brand of sea salt with another in my saltwater aquarium?
iv purchased a saltwater BiOrb 16gallon and was wondering when i have to do a water change i need to buy more salt because i used all of the salt that was supplied with the BiOrb. My local pet store do not sell the BiOrb sea salt so can i purchase any brand of salt example red sea etc. and mix that with 25% of fresh clean warm water when doing a water change even though the BiOrb salt is still mixed the remaining water in the BiOrb.
I do that all the time. I buy by the buckets, and sometimes I can get a good, but different brand on sale from what I normally use.
They might have slight differences in chemistry, some have more trace elements and calcium for corals than others, but they all have to be able to support marine life, or the company that makes them would go out of business rather quickly!!

…love the classic exterior, love the s2000 F-Series engine, I just dont like the mix of brands..maybe a 7m or ITB 4AG IMO would have been better, but well executed nonetheless.
