Pro Fitted Batters I have 2 15inch subs in a single speakerbox. Would it sound better if i had two separate speakerboxes?
I have two hyper pro 15 inch subs in a single speaker box. Each sub is 1200w and i have two 1000w amps along with a batter capacitor. Nothing is hooked up yet because the speaker box i have now wont fit in my Thunderbird. So i need to know if i should buy another speaker box to hold both speakers or should i get separate boxes? What would beat harder and sound better? Also should i get a closed off box or a box with air holes?
The ported box(es) will give you a deeper boom, the kind you can hear blocks away. The only negative in your situation is that a ported box for a 15" sub requires alot more space than a sealed box. So if you go with a sealed box, you will save space, but lose a little thunder. But don't get me wrong... 15" subs in a sealed box still hit hard, just not as thunderous as a slot ported box. Personally, I don't think having two separate speaker boxes makes too much of a difference.
