Should Sports Be Eliminated To Reduce Global Warming?
Look how much is spent and how much pollution is associated with sports. From new construction for the Olympics, to transportation for the players and fans, billions of man miles are traveled each year to and from sporting events.
Not only that, but then theirs the broadcasters and the electrical usage of the television and radio stations.
All totaled there must be a measurable amount of co2 put into our atmosphere each day because of sports.
Wouldn't it be better if we just made car racing, soccer, football and all other sports illegal worldwide?
Are you going to boycott watching the Olympics to help save the planet?
Wow, I love that people can't see the sarcasm in your question. Since I'm a person who believes GW is naturally occurring I say I love sports and I'm looking forward to the Olympics.
Also we have been recycling since the 70's and maybe even before that, but it's the 70's and after that I remember, because I was too young before the 70's to have solid memories of what happened before then.
So those new recruits to doing the right thing for the environment should shut their cake holes. Also it's not always practical for people to change how they get around. So stop harassing people.

That's easy, just make it a requirement to be tested. If you test positive, you're done! No contract, no job, you're out! Positive test results, end of sports career! They should have done this years ago with all drugs! One positive test for cocaine, you're done! Then we wouldn't have had to deal with Darryl Strawberry and the like, who just kept using, go through rehab, and keep playing until they use again! You use steroids, cocaine, any illegal drug, and test positive, you're done, later, bye bye! No excuses, you're done!
