my daughter is 7 years old and in softball. do you think a demarini medusa 29/17 oz bat is right for her?

this is her 2nd season of softball last year she used a cheap easton 28/17

I would say it would depend on how big your daughter is and how cheap you can get the bat for. I find it a waste of money to buy a 200 dollar bat for a kid that is only going to use it for a year. I wouldn't pay more than a 100 dollars for a bat. To find the right size, I would have your daughter set the end of her bat down on the ground next to her right leg. Then see how far up the knob comes. A good length for a bat is if it goes up to about the wrist. For weight, it depends on how strong. If your daughter has to change her swing the bat is probably too heavy. You want to swing the heaviest bat without losing any bat speed. I would say have her swing different weight bats to figure out whats right for her. I'm not sure if that makes sense but if you have any questions about it you can email me.
