Softball Size
HELP! Finding the right size and weight ratio for a softball bat?
I'm planning on buying a wooden softball bat (NO im not interested in aluminum or anything else). I have no idea what weight ratio or size I should get.
The weight ratios are offered at -4, -5, -6, and -6+. And the sizes vary from 32-34 in.
If it makes any difference, I havent played baseball in years, i weigh about 175, 6ft tall, decent strength.
Any help would be great.
I'd suggest most likely a 33 in. -5. That's 28 oz. which sounds ridiculous considering I use a 30 in 20 oz. composite bat lol. And for the height, put the bat down on the ground, and hold the bat with your arm fully extended. The knob should be at your wrist. And for weight, what ever feels comfortable with you!
