Do you think I tore something in my knee?
I was playing soccer the other night wearing cleats on turf, well I went up against a guy and he cut the ball back and I went to turn real fast and planted my right foot, my foot stayed and my knee turned with my body (I dont know if you can picture that but its a very painful position) my knee popped inward really loud. Now my knee is the size of a softball and there is a knot on the inside of my knee and I cant walk what so ever. Did I tear a tendon?
Sounds like a typical description for an ACL tear (the anterior crucial ligament). The "pop" is typical. And it happens in this soccer situation all the time.
The softball size is the swelling and the start of the inflammation.
So - very likely - yeah - you tore it. So - for the ACL tear there is no way around a surgery if you want to get back into sports. And therefore you need to see a doc, they will take an MRI, very likely confirm and send you up to surgery.
So right now - put ice on it (a bag of frozen peas is best, you can refreeze), take some Advil or other over the counter anti inflammatory medicine and see the doc a.s.a.p.

field hockey question?
This might sound dumb, but does it matter what type of cleats you wear? Like theres soccer and softball cleats, what type should i buy? And I barely ever play on turf. Thanks.
You can use any type of cleats really, but ones that are specifically for lacrosse are the best if you can't find ones that say they are specifically for field hockey. Soccer cleats also work to and i've used softball cleats too. here are some examples--
