Sport Softball Bat
What shape should my country be?
So, in English, we are making our own countries. What shape should mine be? By the way I like sports. I was thinking about shaping it like a softball bat, but that may be too thin. There are a lot of other things to do with our countries, but the shape is my only problem. Any answer will be appreciated!
I had to do this in World Geo. I decided to make mine the shape of a butterfly because I could make the landforms needed for the project easily (antennas=peninsulas, wing creases= bay & delta, etc.). If you don't need to do anything specific, then do whatever you like. But I know this guy who made his a baseball and it turned out pretty cool. Used the stitches of the ball to be the rivers. Needed to have those too. But a softball bat could work, and so could a baseball helmet or a mitt, if you want to go that route.

Common Basic Softball Drills
Every softball player wants to become good in their chosen sport. That is always their aim. They want to be the best player so that they can be recognized not only by their coach, their teammates, their opponents, but also by their audiences.
But then in order for the people to recognized a player he must first increase and develop his skills and abilities. The road to success is not that easy. Before being a very good player, one should undergo a lot of constant training. You should prepare yourself not only physically but also mentally. Because in playing softball you will not only use your physical strength, it is a necessity to use your brain as well. You should have sufficient knowledge about the different softball drills that will increase your skills because this will be your edge against other players.
But choosing and doing a lot of softball drills are not enough to make you a better player. As I have said, you should also increase your mental skills. You can do this by doing some mental activities that will enhance your concentration, focus, analytical thinking, decision making and plan making.
One can increase his focus by engaging in exercise that will stimulate muscle eye movement and direction. You can also increase your softball skills by learning how to anticipate the future movement, actions, and decisions of your opponents. You must learn to realize how they move and create two to three back up plans in case something goes wrong.
This article supplies you some of the basic softball drills that will help you increase your skills in playing the softball.
- Throwing Drill. The throw must be out of reach of the intended player on purpose making the other position player who should be backing up to get the ball. They then overthrow the ball to another position allowing another backup to take place.
- Pressure Situation Relay Drill. This softball drill teaches the player to move in a pressure situation.
- Throwing and Batting Drill. A good softball batting drill is to have the batter stand facing or parallel to the backstop and then tries to get 1 bat length away from the fence. Then the batter swings without hitting the fence. Next, turn the batter so that he is perpendicular to the fence.
- Soft Toss Drill. This develops the basic skills you will value throughout the season such as powers, bat speed, follow through and hand-eye coordination.
- Break and Throw Drill. This drill involves every player. It teaches the two basic skills: throwing and catching.
Pressure is a part of any sports. It is always there. Always remember that you can’t leave the pressure but you can do something to stop or at least minimize them. Maximize your control of your self. Know how to manage your thinking and playing skills in and out of the game to bring out the best in you no matter what the situation is. Bear in mind the principle “control what can be controlled.”
