Sports Warehouse Any tips for sending magazines (sports related) from the U.S. to Buenos Aires, Argentina?
I've had packages mailed to me before but they've all been held up in the customs warehouse down in Retiro (for those who don't know it's a surrealistic bureaucratic nightmare).
I have heard of people getting packages delivered directly to their door through some services but never specifics.
Any tips? Public/Private mail? Special classifications? Customs forms/passport numbers?
It's just 3 magazines so I wouldn't think it would be such a pain.

UPS ground delivery is what I use when I need to send something to my girlfriend who lives there. It's not cheap, but shipping overseas is never cheap. When you fill out the form, mark the box next to gift and there shouldn't be an issue with customs.
I wouldn't depend on the postal service, because they might have to hand it to the Argentine postal service (which then may cause it to get stuck in customs) and their postal service has a reputation for having problems.
On top of that, if it is through UPS, an American company, you can rest pretty assured that nothing will happen to it like having it be stolen (even if it is just magazines).
