Wire Face Guard What do u think of this book im working on?
heres part of chapter one the book is called "the list"
John saw that the governor had got up and went to the restroom John was on top of the building. He looked down and saw two body guards with 9mm pistols standing by the door john had the same thing but modified with a silencer he aimed his gun at the first guard pulled the trigger and quickly killed the second guard *thud* they both fell to the ground john jumped down off the building it was a small restroom building and opened the door he heard the governor inside the toilet grunting “sick” john said to himself. He would of used his fiber wire but the toilets face toward the door he kicked the door down *POW* *POW* *POW* he put three bullets in the governors head. He threw his gun down no worries about prints he wore special gloves and wiped his gun down. this aint the whole story its not even a page i could only fit one paragraph into the details it has depth and has way more too it
I can see the thought but here are a few tips: 1) Keep them in short paragraphs. Too long and it will be difficult to read. 2) Don't use too much description. 3) Avoid over-repetitive words/names. After you say "John saw the governor", next use "He". 4) Proper grammar is important. Very important. 5) Don't get over-excited. Keep the flow going smoothly. It should go up gradually and go down gradually. 6) Do your research. What kind of "special gloves"? Latex, cotton,etc. 7) Use sound effects only if necessary.
Try to make it something like this (sorry I'm in a hurry):
"John , from the top of a building, saw the governor get up and head for the restroom accompanied by two bodyguards armed with 9mm pistols.
The bodyguards are now stationed by the door. John aimed his 9mm pistol modified with a silencer and took only a second to finish them off.
Seeing the coast is clear, John quickly approached the small restroom building and upon entering heard the governor inside the toilet grunting.
He would have preferred to use his fiberwire but decided otherwise. He kicked the door, put three bullets into the governor's head and wiped his gun down."
Final verdict: Won't win any book deals or make it in the best seller list (yet) but you have potential. Work hard and good luck.
any ideas of what i should get or where during basketball season?
broke my top jaw in 3 places on october 10 of this year. maxilla surgeons put a wire across the top jaw to hold it in place. i get the wire pulled out the week before thanksgiving. right before basketball season, and now im tying to find a face guard or something similar to the Richard Hamilton nose guard. i was told the Jason mask from the Halloween movies would work. something that can used to protect that area of the jaw. any suggestions or ideas would really help me out. open to it all
Try to find a practice specializing in sports medicine and ask them. They have everything under the sun at their disposal to help get you ready to play. However, as a basketball player, I'm not entirely sure that you should be playing this season, whether you're a high school athlete or a collegiate one. Playing in the high contact sport of basketball after breaking your jaw in three places two and a half months earlier could definitely cause you to get hurt again.
